Abdul Majeed Waris (born 19 September 1991) is a Ghanaian professional Association football, footballer who most recently played as a Forward (association football), striker for Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta F.C., Anorthosis. Ajj Aakhaan Waris Shah Nu (; ) is a Punjabi-language poetic dirge by Punjabi author Amrita Pritam about the horrors of Punjab's partition during the 1947 partition of India. The poem is addressed to the 18th-century Punjabi poet Waris Shah, who wrote the most popular version of the Punjabi romance tragedy, ''Heer Ranjha''. It appeals to Waris Shah to arise from his grave, record the Punjab's tragedy and turn over a new page in Punjab's history. ''Waris'' () is a 1969 Indian Hindi-language film, produced by Vasu Menon and directed by Ramanna. The film stars Jeetendra, Hema Malini with music composed by R. D. Burman. Pir Waris Shah ( ; 1722 1798) was an 18th-century Punjabi Muslims, Punjabi Muslim Sufi poet of the Chishti order, known popularly for his contribution to Punjabi literature. Manmohan Singh Heer (Manmohan Waris; born 3 August 1967) is a Punjabi folk/pop singer. He is the elder brother of record producer Sangtar and singer Kamal Heer. Waris is considered one of the Most gifted singers of Punjabi folk music.
